Position Summary: The outside Residential Architectural Consultant is charged with developing long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with architects, designers, engineers, and professional trade organizations. They are also responsible for generating architectural project specifications, sales lead hand-offs, and continuing educations opportunities while achieving maximum market penetration.
Principal DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but not limited to:
Coordinate, promote and advance the visibility and presence of the Pella product lines while maintaining a continual awareness of activity or news in the architectural and construction-related community. Actively represent Pella Windows & Doors at company-sponsored events, at professional group’s invitations to discuss and/or present Pella products, at trade association meetings, and at consumer home shows to promote Pella products. Actively involved in CSI, AIA, ALA, and other relevant trade/industry bodies.
Establish a business plan that compiles lists of target architectural accounts for use as a core group that the consultant meets with regularly and develops specifications. Makes outbound follow-up calls to potential and existing architectural firms by telephone and email to qualify leads and projects.
Able to present product demonstrations, accurately read, interpret and take-off blueprints, and to use electronic software and systems (CRM, PQM, MSOffice, etc.) to quote products and manage accounts that focus on remodeling, new construction residential, and commercial projects.
Present Lunch and Learn educational programs to architects, engineers, general contractors, building owners, and building managers.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL AND/OR TECHNICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as, discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
