Summary and Mission

A business data analyst on the Work Force Management
team contributes to Starbucks’ success by owning all operational aspects of the
labor systems at Starbucks that run US and Canadian markets and scale strategic
initiatives to all Starbucks company owned stores (~10,000 stores). Ideal
candidate will be adept at – planning, timeline creation and management,
execution to the timeline, and identifying key risks and issues &
mitigating them. Projects typically require working with cross-functional
teams and will need ability to communicate key issues to leadership, conflict
resolution and a degree of comfort in dealing with ambiguity. This person will
be an advocate for our store partners while balancing the needs of the business.

Leadership

within the system and communicates to key stakeholders

Analyze
data and make sound recommendations in ambiguous environment

  • Partner
with finance teams to understand the business and financial impact of key
project decisions

  • Define
and model “what-if” scenarios

of Experience & Basic Qualifications

·
3- 5 years of experience, 1-2 years of data analysis or labor
system experience

·
At
least 2- 4 years of experience working in cross-functional setting

·
Successful
track record of delivering large scale initiatives

Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·
Experience
with handling data and driving decisions using data coupled with strong
influencing skills

·
Experience
with managing and maintaining large scale systems preferred

·
Project
management skills for large and complex problems involving multiple,
cross-functional sub-teams. Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible

·
Innovative,
insatiably curious, keen critical thinking skills

·
Flexible
and creative thinker with the ability to define business tradeoffs, generate
out-of-the-box solutions and manage uncertainty

Experience
with Tableau, Alteryx, statistical packages or knowledge of SQL a plus
