Represents and develops 3M Infection Prevention Division’s Monitoring business (Sterilization Monitoring Products, biomedical electrodes, cables and lead wires, Clean Trace™) in integrated health systems and independent hospitals within an assigned territory. Responsible for clinical and concept selling of sterilization and patient monitoring products, surface/instrument/endoscope monitoring to acute care call points including Central Sterile Processing, Infection Prevention, Biomedical Engineering, Operating Room, Environmental Services, Endoscopy, Supply Chain/Materials Management and all other relevant departments.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for driving sales growth through collaborative efforts with other 3M Infection Prevention Division personnel including Perioperative Solutions sales representatives, Clinical Specialists, Technical Consultants, Healthcare Key Account Managers, Marketing, Distribution partners.
Understands and effectively communicates clinical and business solutions to Central Sterile Processing, Infection Preventionists, Nurses, Tech’s, Physicians/surgeons, Endoscopy, Environmental Services, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Management and other key call points.
Drives sales growth through customer/product knowledge, ability to identify and close key opportunities, gain access and to implement marketing programs.
Uses territory analysis and opportunity assessment to create and implement a business plan for growth.
Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum of three (3) years of healthcare sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Current, Valid Drivers license is required, as you will be issued a company vehicle for this position
Three (3) years sales experience selling medical/surgical products to acute care hospitals
Experience calling on Central Sterile Processing, Infection Preventionists, Operating Room, Environmental Services, Endoscopy, Biomed, Supply Chain/Materials Management
Knows and understands Sterile Processing Practices
Knows and understands medical terminology, processes and procedures
Experience working with distribution channel partners
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead and teach others
Strong clinical and concept selling skills
Knowledge of the Healthcare environment and Healthcare reform
Strong computer skills i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint; uses technology, i.e., iPads
Knowledge and use of Customer Relationship Management Tools
Considers legal and ethical constraints, as well as company policy and goals when making decisions

Travel: up to 50% travel overnight is anticipated
