The Account Manager for the Entertainment team (Direct Sales) is responsible for the sales relationship within assigned accounts to organically increase Vectorworks’ depth and breadth of services.

You will work closely with the Entertainment Team Manager to understand important KPIs and the team strategy in order to maximize sales results within their assigned accounts while offering customers a seamless experience from first purchase through annual upgrades and renewals.

Responsibilities

In this role, you should expect to:
Function as a consultative salesperson (direct sales); accurately conveying Vectorworks’ software and services to clients as a strategic solution to improve their business operations
Prospect within assigned accounts to uncover new opportunities for Vectorworks to partner with existing customers
Analyze and understand the customer’s business strategy, future growth plans and expansion activities and strategically align Vectorworks’ product roadmap where mutually beneficial
Work cross functionally with marketing, technical support, training, engineering, sales operations and other departments to provide outstanding customer service
Make recommendations on product enhancements based on feedback from assigned accounts
Have firm understanding of Vectorworks’ Entertainment product portfolio and the competitive posture of the company; keep up to date with industry knowledge and price trends
Participate in industry trade shows
Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and other projections as needed
25% travel required to existing and potential customers with on-site client visits

Solid understanding of business concepts and ability to quickly learn software & technology tools
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience in the entertainment industry (lighting design, scenic design, theater, etc.)
