Job summary

The Red Hat Operations team is looking for a North America Commercial Program Manager to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will report to the North America (NA) Commercial Sales Strategy and Program Planning Leader. You’ll collaborate with the leader in architecting and carrying out the programmatic implementation plans for key strategic sales initiatives, focusing on specialist sales growth plans. You’ll partner with the NA Commercial Specialist Sales Leader and the Business Development team, regional sales vice presidents and area managers, and the NA Commercial Partners and Alliances, Finance, and NA Commercial Operations teams to design, deliver, and oversee end-to-end implementation plans for key initiatives. As a North America Commercial Program Manager, you’ll need to have a solid record of building and implementing programs and processes in a cross-functional manner across an open organization.

Primary job responsibilities
Collaborate cross-functionally on designing comprehensive implementation plans and develop methods and processes for guiding the implementation of high-impact programs that accelerate field performance; this will include coordinating and guiding activities through a matrix or influence-based relationships with contributors from other teams
Participate in programs like cross-region and Business team strategy interlock and alignment or integrated pipeline generation management
Apply a consistent set of productivity tools to enable more efficient use of Red Hat's ecosystem
Track results produced by key program teams to ensure accountability in a highly complex, matrixed organization
Provide key inputs and updates for the NA Commercial metrics and reporting initiatives to help promote transparency and coordination throughout the enterprise
Facilitate efficient use of matrixed resources across multiple projects and monitor trends to ensure use alignment with strategic goals
Analyze project portfolios to ensure that work aligns with the strategic objectives of the sales and services team; keep projects on track to deliver expected results
Be responsible for business management system (BMS) analytics and instrumentation
Create, build, and implement an appropriate BMS to measure progress, celebrate successes, and adjust direction as necessary; align the BMS to all NA Commercial dashboards and management systems
Serve as a point of contact for the Red Hat’s ecosystem that supports our field team; keep them informed and aligned regarding sales priorities and nuances in our Commercial Sales business
Required skills
10+ years of experience working in a program leadership or management role, leading high-performing and highly visible program and project teams
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire in a distributed, global, multicultural organization
Business insight and skills to engage business leaders on business terms and deliver business solutions
Combined background in services and sales or sales support experience are a plus
Solid empathy for customers and passion for revenue and growth
Analytical and process-oriented mindset
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; excellent presentation skills
Exceptional business insight, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to apply quantitative approach to program management
Solid working knowledge of a customer relationship management (CRM) platform like Salesforce.com (SFDC) and other reporting or collaboration applications like Tableau, Microsoft Excel, or Google Sheets, PowerPoint, or Slides
Solid financial and operational understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models
Customer service focus, including the ability to deliver multiple priority projects with high customer satisfaction in a rapidly changing environment
Bachelor's degree in a technology or any analytical discipline; graduate degree in management is a plus
Combined background in services and sales or sales support experience are a plus
