HSR Constructors is currently seeking a Payroll Clerk for the Brightline High Speed Rail Project that runs between West Palm Beach and Cocoa, Florida, with offices located in Melbourne and Ft. Pierce. This 128 mile-long project includes the construction of new track, the rehabilitation and upgrading of existing track; bridges; road crossings; and associated railroad signals work.

HSR Constructors is a joint venture of three of the leading railroad and transit contractors in the nation: Herzog, Stacy and Witbeck, and Railworks; who have joined to construct this fast-paced, high-profile project.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Payroll entry and processing
  • Banking uploads
  • Direct deposit
  • Garnishments
  • Certified payroll reporting
  • Tax withholding
  • State unemployment taxes
  • Union contributions
  • Employee file maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 years previous payroll experience preferred
  • Must be proficient in 10-key
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
  • Must be a self-starter and able to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Time management skills are essential; must possess a natural sense of urgency and work well with pressure and deadlines
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
  • Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety sensitive nature of this position.
  • Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
