This position uses innovative thinking skills, and mechanical and electrical aptitude in an effort to maintain and improve the overall plant’s reliability and performance. This position has the overall responsibility to ensure overall compliance with State/Federal regulations and Food and Safety Regulation. In doing so, product quality and capacities will be maintained or improved while costs are controlled. This employee will support all personnel and food safety programs, company policies and procedures, and have a personal value system that fosters a work environment that is based on trust, human dignity, and honesty. Provides support to plant maintenance department responsible for repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment in manufacturing operations. Responsible to eliminate all causes of failure and ensure full useful life in coordination with daily maintenance completed by operating personnel. Conducts repair, maintenance, and installation to ensure continuous production operations. Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards. Supports and executes plant specific maintenance strategies to achieve plant's key performance goals including PM for overall maintenance performance. Provides mechanical support to all departments in operations. This position will require full support during harvest to include working seven days a week and 12 hours a day.

A member of the maintenance staff in the operation, maintenance, and repair of the facility equipment, real property, and grounds.
Provide technical expertise within the maintenance team.
Provide maintenance support to operational departments.
Ensure on-time start-ups, maximum mechanical and operational up-time, and consistent or improving product quality and capacity.
Help execute PM's, PM audits, equipment installations, removals and modifications, complete work orders and work order paperwork.
Coordinate assigned project work to include on-time completion, financial responsibility and product quality.
Supports the company personnel and food safety programs, policies and procedures, and contract employee programs. Ensures subordinates comply.
Must be able to understand, troubleshoot, and repair relatively specialized equipment throughout the plant.
Safely inspects machinery and equipment while in operation for proper safeguarding, diagnosing faulty operation, making adjustments or repairs as necessary to keep the equipment in safe operating condition.
Removes from service those machines which require major repairs, revisions or additions to machinery and reinstalls, including proper safeguarding.
Operates, maintains, inspects, lubricates, and repairs equipment as necessary.
Ensure company policies are implemented across multiple production facilities, including Food Safety, GMP, SQF, Quality Assurance, HACCP, and Sanitation. Ensure that GMPs and quality initiatives are present at all time.
Responsible to have personal hand tools and tool chest to perform the duties and task of his position.
Makes out work orders, requisitions, inspection reports, time distribution, material usage, etc., and performs other clerical duties necessary to maintain proper records relative to the work performed utilizing a computerized maintenance management system.
Works safely and complies to Lock Out – Tag Out procedures
May operate mobile equipment, including forklifts, man lift, crane, carts and other machinery as needed
May be required to operate production equipment when needed.
May be required to oversee and provide direction/supervision to outside contractors working within the facility
Proficient in electrical control systems design and construction including PLC, HMI, AC/DC circuits (high and low voltage single and 3-phase)
Possess a strong mechanical aptitude that will enable the plant to operate an effective predictive, preventive, and emergency equipment repair program. Makes complex ideas or situations clear, simple, and understandable.
High school diploma plus three (5) years of maintenance experience in the food or related industry. Must possess strong leadership ability and demonstrate electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical technical competencies
