We are currently seeking a Technical Business Development Manager (Ecosystems) in our B2B Information Display sales organization. Contributes to the sales efforts of division products and services, by utilizing their business development skills and technical knowledge as part of a team responsible for fostering relationships with non-purchasing technology influencers, creating new business opportunities, & supporting solution sales for assigned; vertical markets, , and/or products. This is a Field/Home Office based role. We can consider anyone living within close proximity of a major airport. ( Dallas, Kansas City, Denver, Phoenix, San Diego, LA, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, Cincinnati, Nashville, New York, Richmond, Atlanta, Tampa, etc.)
Principal Duties and Responsibilities;
Manage assigned 3rd party technology (ecosystem) alliance
Identify and foster new ecosystem relationships
Assess and drive technical integration opportunities with assigned partners
Pursue solution creation and partner business development opportunities
Contribute to education of LG teams & customers on ecosystem solutions
Support LG sales representatives with ecosystem solution spec-in/sales
Log, track, and report on partner activity as requested (e.g. Salesforce)
Liaison with LG HQ Product Planning and Vertical Sales/Engineering teams
Gather internal/external market intelligence for product/solution planning
Lead and/or participate in product, market, and solution planning sessions
Contribute to strategic direction for assigned markets/solutions/products
Collaborate with Product Management/Marketing and Sales
Formulate and present LGEUS desired product roadmaps to management
Assist Solution Engineering team with solution component sourcing
Utilize LG Marketing/Salesforce for proactive communication strategy
Lead special task teams and/or business development projects as needed
Visit Partners in-person at their place of business and/or industry events
Participate in and leverage industry associations (AVIXA, AIA, NSCA, etc)
Travel as needed. Domestic (up to 50%). International (occasional).
Leverage LG Academy to educate Ecosystem Partners on LG technology/products
Identify and track new Specifier projects and push to influence designs
Leverage Solution Engineering team for custom solution ideas/creation
Bachelors degree (business or technical subject preferred) or relevant work experience, minimum 8 years of technology solutions or business development experience (IT or Information Display industry preferred)
Minimum of 4 years of experience in sales (preferably in a technology Industry)
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
Ability to travel 50% throughout the U.S
Strong understanding of project and product specifications
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (webOS a plus).
CTS certification preferred. Crestron and other technology certifications a plus.
Fluent in English.
