ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/ DUTIES
The essential functions/duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain fluency on all TheraCare policies and procedures and state/local regulations
- Provide Quality Assurance for the School Registered Nurse Program (DOE Staffing Program)
- Provide on-going mentorship, clinical support, and regulatory compliance of nurses
- Interview and clear applicants for RN
- Orient/track all new hires through Initial DOE RN Clinical Informing Sessions and field training
- Upload/update training documents in shared drive.
- Document and update all supervision visits forms in shared drive within 48 hours of occurrence.
- Document all visits/meetings(in person/remote/calls) and supervisions in Outlook calendar
- Provide on-going clinical support to nurses with scheduled onsite school/clinic visits, field observations, phone calls and emails
- Provide new hire training visit every 2 months
- Assist operations in obtaining required credentials of nurses
- Attend meetings requested by the DOE on vendor updates and clinical subject matter
- Attend training courses and workshops to keep skills current
- Conduct or manage Annual Training required before start of school year
- Maintain clinical software that is given access to the RN Supervisor by the DOE, ensure staff is trained and verse. Follow up for access to the DOE if needed.
- Respond promptly to emails/calls with Ops staff and nurses, within 4 hours, unless in extraneous circumstance.
- Conduct performance appraisals of all direct reports as required by TC policies and procedures
- If needed, provide direct service

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Proficiency of school nursing program and supervision
- Excellent writing skills
- Ability to provide in-person and remote training
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook Calendar, and other software programs needed in the role
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise Registered Nurses in school/clinic setting
REQUIREMENTS
- NYS license as Registered Nurse
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Hand dexterity ability
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to travel to various locations when needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
