This is a key leadership role in the Strategic Client Onboarding (SCO) team in Field Strategic Services. This individual, reporting to the Head of SCO, will serve as the COO for the department and provide strategic oversight for a broad portfolio of regulatory initiatives.
This person will work collaboratively across the program and with key partners – including Technology, Operations, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Audit. We are driving dramatic process improvements for the branches, and innovating core business functions, and this individual will be responsible for helping drive this agenda and contributing to the development and execution of our 5-year strategic plan.
As COO, this individual will be responsible for core business management functions, including budgets, resource planning, vendor management, organizational and location strategy, and management reporting. This individual will also coordinate with his peers in SCO to ensure key project services are deployed consistently across the mandatory project portfolio, including program delivery, risk management, detailed project management, consolidated timelines, issues management, dependency management, user acceptance testing, budget/resource management, portfolio governance, and reporting.
A team of 5-10 program managers, project leads, and business analysts will report to this individual.
The position will be based in New York, NY with occasional travel.
Candidates must possess strong business management skills and in-depth experience in client onboarding at a large broker dealer, as well as experience designing and delivering Digital and FinTech platforms. Exceptional communication and presentation skills are required, with the ability to deliver succinct program updates at all levels in the organization, including executive management.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record designing, leading, and delivering a portfolio of large-scale strategic initiatives and working effectively across organizational boundaries and partnering with key stakeholders. Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
This individual must be a self-starter and will be required to manage competing priorities and business requests. Strong leadership, collaboration, consensus building, problem resolution and communication skills are a prerequisite. This individual will interface with all levels of the organization.
A BA or BS degree is required. A minimum of 10+ years of experience in a related role or function is a pre-requisite. A deep understanding of the evolving regulatory landscape in Wealth Management is preferred.
