PLAYSTUDIOS is seeking a Server Software Engineer to join our new rewards development team in our Las Vegas studio. This role focuses on determining and implementing a brand-new architecture to support the most flexible and responsive user experience, scaling to 20+ million DAU, and continuous evolution. We are a very lean studio where you can have a big impact.
The Server Software Engineer is looked at to be a full-stack engineer but to focus on our back-end technology: the DBMS, APIs, and microservices.
Work with the Lead Software Engineer, client engineers, and testers to devise and communicate a plan and implement core components and deliver high quality products.
Work with product owners and project managers to break down high-level goals in order to resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Review code with peers and share best practices/knowledge.
BS/MS in Computer Science or similar.
Roadmap centric-release planning experience with creation of detailed technology action and user communication plans.
5+ years’ experience developing software with a team in a professional environment.
2+ years’ experience MongoDB or similar NoSQL database.
Work in an Agile development environment (Scrum & Kanban) with Continuous Delivery.
Knowledge in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)/JEE/Web Services/Messaging.
Experience in microservice architecture, cloud orchestration, and in domain driven design.
Strong debugging, profiling, communication, and analytic skills.
A detail-oriented, organized thought process with the ability to prioritize requirements.
Experience with forensic analysis on legacy systems across code, APIs, and databases
Experience with development of REST APIs and services.
Experience with ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Web APIs.
Experience with React or similar framework.
Experience with Unity or similar game engine, especially plugin development.
Experience writing and maintaining automated unity tests.
Experience developing highly scalable backend systems to support game deployments.
