REQURIEMENTS:
This position is responsible for directing the medical and dental components of the public health programs for the Florida Department of Health in Marion and Citrus Counties. Provides direct supervision to the mid-level providers and dentists and ensures coverage for services and provides direct medical care as needed.

This position requires the candidate to be licensed to practice medicine as a Medical Doctor in the State of Florida. Have at least 5 years of clinical experience. Have a least 3 years management experience. Have Emergency Response experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, weighing costs and benefits, communicating effectively in writing and when speaking, reading comprehension, active listening, time management and critical thinking.
  • Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures.
