Position Title: Maintenance Manager
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Director of Maintenance and Engineering
FLSA: Exempt
Position Summary
Responsible for the safe maintenance, repair, or replacement of plant/facility equipment, systems, and infrastructure, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting company policies, goals, and objectives.
Five Primary Responsibilities
- Planning labor resources to maintain the production equipment.
- Develop Costs for All Production and Warehouse related projects.
- Supervise Plant Maintenace and Janitorial personnel with an emphasis on safety and food quality including SQF (Safe Quality Food)
SQF (Safe Quality Food) Compliance
It is the responsibility of every employee to ensure that V & V Supremo’s food safety and quality management system complies with food safety regulations and SQF compliance. In turn, our customers are assured that the product has been produced, processed, prepared, and handled according to the highest possible standards.
All employees are required to comply and promote compliance with V & V Supremo’s food safety program and polices, including but not limited to:
Hazard Prevention: Help to keep all work areas clean and free of unsafe obstacles.
Educate: Educate yourself and others on the correct standard operating procedures for the task you are responsible for.
Accountable: It’s your responsibility to understand and comply with the Company’s SQF policies and procedures
Report Food Safety Issues: It is your responsibility to communicate any food safety and quality problems to your supervisor to initiate action.
Training: Attend all required training and pass all necessary knowledge or skill based evaluations.
Key Activities
- Effective Communication with associates and management staff
- Remediation of line downtime causes
- Supervise maintenance resources to insure proper maintenance of equipment and infrastructure
- Manage outside services as appropriate
- Develop a team of maintenance technicians with different skill sets
- Conduct performance evaluations
- Follow GMP’s, sanitation procedures,and quality procedures as set forth by QA and/or supervisors.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director or other Management.

Skills Required
Technical competence in equipment maintenance and utilities
- Analytical Reasoning and problem solving abilities
- Ability to organize and control work assignments, projects, and budgets.
- Ability to Effectively supervise and train assigned personnel and coordinate work schedules for the personnel
- Team player with the ability to function in a challenging environment
- Knowledge of Good Management Practices
- Able to read electrical schematics and blueprints
- Must display leadership and communication skills
Necessary Experience
- High School or equivalent
- Ability to train personnel in maintenance related fields including utility, electrical, basic mechanical, processing equipment, project management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum of 5 years as maintenance supervisor or related management field
- 3-5 Years of Food Manufacturing (Lead/ Supervisory Experience Preferred)
- Proficient Mechanical Experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
