Primary Objective
The Financial Reporting Analyst performs general accounting and financial reporting work as an intermediate level professional. Key contributor to Corporate month-end close, consolidation process, and internal financial reporting. Participates in financial close and reporting improvement projects. Interacts with finance departments across the globe on a monthly basis. Wide-ranging exposure to internal financial reporting, international consolidations, review/audit documentation, Sarbanes-Oxley controls, cross-functional collaboration, technical research and month-end procedures

Major Areas of Accountability

Assists with or performs monthly, quarterly and annual close processes under supervision, including the consolidation of internal and external financial data, journalizing transactions, loading data into the reporting system, and generating internal financial reports.
Prepares information to support internal and external financial reports based on global information obtained, ensuring completeness and accuracy of the information.
Executes internal financial controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley, providing adequate, timely supporting documentation.
Maintains processes to support intercompany eliminations and consolidation and identifies and resolves related issues.
Performs analysis over financial operating results as requested.
Assists with or does technical accounting research in accounting principles under varying levels of supervision providing reference to the applicable U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP) literature.
Active contributor to financial close and reporting process improvement projects, and participates in team and cross-functional projects.
Maintains orderly, accurate and complete files in support of assigned work responsibilities. Organizes records and files in a manner that facilitates retrieval and business continuity. Understands and observes retention requirements.
Uses a basic to intermediate level understanding of the business, its products, its styles, its operational systems and organization structure to complete assigned financial responsibilities.
Interacts and collaborates cross-functionally with domestic and international accounting, finance, financial planning, human resources, tax, treasury and other functions on a regular basis as needed for assigned job responsibilities and projects.
Supports corporate accounting functions, including intercompany accounting, as requested.
Performs other accounting, reporting or analysis projects as requested.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in accounting and progressive responsibilities
  • Public accounting experience desirable
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA desirable
  • Knowledge and understanding of U.S. GAAP reporting requirements
  • Strong written and oral communication capability
  • Effective analytical and organizational skills
