Construction Manager – commercial / retail / franchising
We have partnered with a local, privately-held Real Estate and Construction Management group based in the Charlotte area and are seeking a Construction Manager (with an FFE background) to work with the VP of Construction and support all project responsibilities for multiple commercial and retail construction projects.
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required and 2+ years of experience is preferred.
Real Estate Development experience
Ability to management the lifecycle of multiple projects
Solid software and technology capabilities
Familiar with design, construction and FFE for new construction, renovations and retrofits
Assist with coordinating pre-construction and project meetings to provide support in all areas of project management, working closely with the VP of Construction
Support all planning, budgeting and provide oversight for multi-phase, large-scale projects and assist with job scheduling, subcontractor communication and oversight and all project documentation
Maintain, file and distribute blueprints, technical and design diagrams and documentations, liaising with contractors, architects, vendors and other professionals throughout the project lifecycle
Maintain all project files: drawings/renderings, submittals, maintenance manuals, punch-lists, purchase orders and correspondence
Support the review and processing of all change orders and prepare project progress billings and reports and take responsibility for subcontract agreements, providing budget information and tracking all purchase orders, including review of all RFI’s to ensure all subs and design/engineer submit changes, advising owner of changes that may incur additional costs and/or scope change
Oversee FFE (furniture, fixture & equipment) design and provide assistance for space programming, development of bid package, procurement/vendor selection and installation
Perform on-site inspection for quality materials and workmanship, document and report any deficiencies.
Support the VP and project executives in controlling project cost to budget and all project close-out and post-construction meetings
