We are looking for an experienced Program Director to supervise a wide range of programs. You will be responsible for the delivery and overall success of each program. You will supervise program staff and inform management on progress and performance. A successful Program Director must have a broad knowledge of program management and youth development principles. They must have a strategic mindset as well as be able to lead and develop their subordinates. The goal is to ensure every program will be delivered successfully and add the highest possible value to the organization.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and set goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization
- Plan the programs from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and processes
- Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements
- Supervise all program staff involved to provide feedback and resolve complex problems
- Conduct weekly staff meetings in cooperation with Director of Operations and Admin/Management team
- Discover ways to enhance efficiency and productivity of procedures and people
- Apply change, risk and resource management principles when needed
- Read program and grant requirements, oversee and coordinate implementation of requirements and reporting
- Turn in all reports to Director of Operations for review prior to submission deadlines
- Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies
- Keep senior management informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations
- Parent communications
- Outreach and recruitment including presentations at local schools, planning annual calendar of outreach/recruitment, implementation of calendar
- Community and agency events coordination
- Other duties as needed
Skills
- Proven experience as program director or other managerial position
- Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
- Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics
- Outstanding knowledge of data analysis, reporting and project coordination
- Working knowledge of MS office and ability to learn agency specific data management systems
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- BSc/BA diploma in management or a relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
- Well versed in Positive Behavior Support and strength based restorative practices for behavior intervention
- Group management skills and positive youth development practices demonstrated skill sets
- Familiarity with Trauma Informed practices, SEL, Restorative Justice, and PBIS is a plus
Requirements
* Valid CA drivers license
* Clean DMV record
* Must pass LiveScan fingerprinting and background clearance
* Willingness to drive company vehicle to transport youth
* Available to work some weekends and special events, as needed
*First Aid and CPR Training
*Willingness to complete other duties as needed

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
