We are seeking a General Manager who like to lead people and grow business by giving great customer service.

Franchisee of Hardee’s Restaurants, LLC, DORO Incorporated, has owned and operated Hardee's restaurants since 1968. Over the last 50 years DORO has emerged as one of the fastest-growing independent franchisees of Hardee's Restaurants, LLC. DORO's commitment to its people through training and a strong focus on culture has allowed the organization to grow at an improbable rate. From 2000 to 2006 DORO acquired 71 restaurants in Wisconsin, North and South Dakota, this growth sparked the creation of a new company, Northland Restaurant Group. From 2012 to 2018, Northland Restaurant Group and DORO grew through acquisition and new construction by more than 50 restaurants bringing the grand total to 115. Basic Function
To assist in accomplishing the Company's Mission Statement. Ensures that Company operations and personnel policies and procedures are complied with at all times. Is responsible for producing high quality food and service in order to maintain sales and profit expectations.

As the highest management position within the restaurant, is accountable for the restaurant and its operations at all times, whether physically present or not.

Minimum work week expectation is five (5) days including nights, weekends, and holidays as restaurant sales dictate. In certain circumstances extra work days may be required. Must be available to cover shifts as necessary.


Able to perform the essential functions of the job with or with out reasonable accomodations
Has successfully completed all competencies at the Assistant Manager level or their equivilent
Demonstrates SQC at a level which would build sales
Has successfully completed the state Sanitation Certification course
Have the ability to separate relationships with all employees following our “No Fraternization” policy

1. Staff Planning

Understands restaurant position competencies
Evaluates crew and management staffing and resolves any staffing needs
2. Supervisory Skills

Conducts disciplinary discussions
Is able to teach supervisory skills
Uses coaching and counseling skills
3. Finance

Analyzes financial reports for the restaurant to identify areas for improvement and establishes plans for progress
Analyzes the restaurants P & L statements to identify areas for improvements and establishes plans for progress
4. Safety and Security

Identify and resolve safety and security deficiencies, develop safety and security plans, maintain employee safety and ZAC in the restaurant
Investigate accidents and their causes in the restaurant and correct
Enforce all Company policies and procedures in maintaining safety and security
Timely notification to appropriate parties (insurance company, human resources) when employee injury occurs
Coordinate monthly Safety Committee meeting

5. Performance Reviews

Responsible for the timeliness and effectiveness of all performance reviews conducted in the restaurant
Perform reviews on the restaurant's established goals and objectives and take appropriate measures on under-performance utilizing discussion records and development plans
6. Equipment

Analyze restaurant's equipment repair/preventive maintenance invoices and records to determine which pieces of equipment are not satisfactory and to determine if that is a result of performance, training or workmanship
Analyze restaurant's energy usage, identifying excessive demand or usage and correct it
7. Public Relations

Represents the Company at community events; sponsors or participates in community events; participates in outreach events; and analyzes the effectiveness of these activities
8. Retention

Evaluate the crew and staff turnover and determine strategies to fix
Use exit interviews when at all possible
9. Company Policies

Understand, comply and enforce all Company policies on a consistent basis
10. Leadership

Develop a vision for the restaurant using your Director of Operations, Company Mission Statement and management team and describe that vision to your restaurant
Communicate positive values to your staff and crew
Practice delegation of responsibility and authority with timely follow up
Model, coach and require expectations
11. Legal Issues

Understand and comply with legal requirements and government regulations
Identify legal and regulatory deficiencies in the restaurant
Resolve Company policies and procedures, infractions and deficiencies
Notify the office of any serious legal, loss prevention, injury or compliance issue
Consistent enforcement regarding disciplinary actions
Complete, concise documentation with regard to Progressive Discipline
12. Team Building

Create a vision with goals and objectives with your management team and implement them
Develop a rapport with the other GMs in your Company
13. Marketing

Understand the basic marketing principles
Identify strategies to gain a competitive edge over the competition
Identify preferences in customer loyalties.
Proper use of the marketing calendar and POP materials
14. Business Planning

Formulate an annual business plan based on your Company's direction for the coming year
Both write and verbalize the plan to your DO
Execute the plan
15. Succession Planning

Formulate a plan to promote, develop and replace crew and staff
Perform scheduled restaurant management development plans and conduct career development and planning sessions
Use current programs to assist in development
16. Finance

Understand sales trends both past and future
Understand profit trend both past and future
Develop and execute a plan to improve both
17. Service, Quality and Cleanliness

Identify and resolve SQC deficiencies
Complete a Restaurant Operations Assessment and complete an action plan with deadlines to correct deficiencies
