Job Title: Commercial Loan Coordinator

Job Summary: The Commercial Loan Processor is responsible for coordinating administrative aspects of the commercial lending group. This role involves working closely with loan officers, clients, and various internal departments to ensure that commercial loans are processed accurately and efficiently, closed, funded and serviced in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Processing:
- Review and process commercial loan applications, ensuring that all required documentation is complete and accurate.
- Prepare and review loan documentation, including loan agreements and disclosures, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Act as the support function to the commercial lending staff to facilitate efficient loan processing, closings and post-closing activities.
- Coordinate with internal departments, such as lenders, credit analysis, legal, and compliance, to facilitate smooth loan processing and servicing.
- Compliance and Quality Control:
- Ensure that all loan files are maintained with accuracy and in accordance with regulatory guidelines and internal procedures.
- Monitor and track loan processing timelines to ensure timely and efficient processing of applications.
- Identify and address any discrepancies or issues in loan applications or documentation.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain detailed and organized records of all loan transactions and communications.
- Prepare and submit reports on loan processing activities, including application status and performance metrics.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy in the loan processing workflow.
- Stay informed about industry trends, changes in regulations, and best practices related to commercial loan processing.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher in finance, business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in commercial loan processing or a related role within a financial institution.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of commercial loan products, processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in using loan processing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
