Facebook is seeking a Strategy Planning & Operations Instagram Lead who can work effectively with Instagram Partnerships leadership to drive better business decisions. The role supports the Instagram partnerships team which is responsible for Instagram's partnership with top content producers. We are looking for an expert in business strategy and operations, who uses an analytical, strategic, pragmatic, and results-oriented approach to drive to drive the business forward all the while being an objective and trusted partner to the Instagram partnerships team. The mission of the Global Strategy, Planning & Operations (SP&O) group is to maximize business performance by being the objective, trusted partner to the Media Partnerships organization – through strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical and consultative mindset, experience in working with stakeholders from business and technical backgrounds, the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and a passion for operational rigor.
Support management in strategic, operational planning and ensure decisions in line with overall Facebook and Instagram approach and goals
Establish operational excellence and ensure we have strong strategic plans and KPIs in place at a vertical, regional, market and SPM level
Develop and implement go-to-market strategies, e.g. for new markets, products, or org design
Provide business analytic expertise (e.g. revenue, partner, market and competitive trends and insights) to help drive initiatives critical to ongoing growth
Generate insights into both internal team and external market performance which includes vertical/sub-vertical/partner performance, product adoption, leading KPI indicators, goal vs. actuals
Establish and lead operational reviews and rhythm of the business to drive decision-making and review progress on goals and priorities (e.g. monthly/quarterly business reviews)
Develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional team such as IG Product and Media Ops to enable the IG partnerships to operate more efficiently and effectively
Identify, scope and drive critical projects and initiatives partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization as needed
Stay on top of market trends and changes in the competitive landscape, and share appropriate insights with the team
Frame and break down complex business problems into key components, design analysis to drive insights and answers to critical questions, and recommend practical solutions to get results
Collect & analyze data, information, and research (e.g., market data, competitive analysis, etc.) through quantitative and qualitative mechanisms to make decisions on critical strategic issue
Influence business decisions thru sound and methodical frameworks and analysis
Bachelor's degree or MBA
7+ years of experience in strategic planning, sales operations, business operations, and/or strategy consulting
Demonstrated experience establishing ROB (Rhythm of Business) activities
Problem solving and analysis experience
Experience driving projects from strategy to execution
Experience developing or overseeing quantitative analysis and deriving insights
Experience leading, influencing and executing at all cross-functional levels of an organization
Communication and presentation experience to executives and audiences
Passion and interest in Instagram
