Southern Custom Exhibits is looking to add a creative and hard-working Graphic Designer to our team. This is an exciting opportunity to help us, and you provide outstanding art for our clients. Responsibilities
- Study design briefs and determine requirements
- Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
- Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
- Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
- Work with project management to keep designs congruent with requirements
- Test graphics for correct color and viewing distance
- Amend designs after feedback
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing
- Print graphics on a flatbed direct printer
- Print graphics using an inkjet printer
- Layout cut files for graphics
- Be willing to work with your hands
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds daily
Skills
- Proven graphic designing experience
- A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
- Working Knowledge in Adobe software (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
- Able to run a large format printer
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- A good understanding of color theory
- The ability to pick and match fonts
- The ability to handle criticism and use it to make your work better
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
- Vinyl application and sticker printing experience is a plus
- Audio visual experience is a plus
- Painting experience is a plus
- Sculpting experience is a plus
- Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
- Above all, being able to work efficiently and accurately
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
