Chemical Process Engineer
Taconic, a global leader in the manufacturer of PTFE coated fiberglass fabric, belts and tapes is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer who will lead process improvement efforts for PTFE & adhesive coating, lamination, and product fabrication. This includes transitioning new products and processes to production, while ensuring material quality.
A bachelor’s degree in applicable Engineering discipline with a minimum of three years of Engineering experience. Must have a strong working knowledge of manufacturing, including lean manufacturing techniques and applications, as well as the underlying theories and concepts of manufacturing, quality, and product engineering. Must have experience with one or more of the following: polymer and adhesive coating, PTFE, process improvement, and coating formulations. Must be self-driven with strong project management and organizational skills. Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels within the organization.
