Art Gallery Manager

You’ve managed a contemporary/modern art gallery and you have a book of high-end residential designers in Southern California who know the clients who truly value art. Do you know how to run a gallery and want to work in a thriving, growing gallery with deep resources to source, design and create stunning art? If so, read on.

Kevin Barry Fine Art is one of the pre-eminent art consulting firms in North America. You’ll work in a gorgeous gallery in Santa Monica, CA with a team that designs, sources and supplies artwork that fits a design brief from our clients. Much of our team creates stunning art for hotels & premium properties nationwide. Others work on corporate art jobs. Your focus will be the gallery and selling work to high end residential clients. Look at our work here: This position requires FT daily presence in our Santa Monica, CA gallery.

You’ll be excited by the huge network of artists who are happy to make gorgeous work to spec. This network supports the hospitality, corporate and health care units of the business, where we usually work to design specs. That also gives us a unique edge in high-end residential, where affluent art lovers can get exactly what they want from us. You’re not limited to the artists affiliated with the gallery, hoping they happen to have the right “look” for your client. We can create whatever they want.

The Nitty Gritty

We have about two dozen designers working out of our Santa Monica gallery. Your role is to keep the gallery looking great for walk in traffic and residential buyers. You’ll be at the front desk, greeting visitors. You’ll be in charge of our inventory, keeping it organized and fresh, as well as other gallery operations. And of course, when residential clients visit, your job is to support them, build relationships with them and find or have created the art they crave.
