Busy & Thriving Eye Surgery Practice Seeking Full Time Surgical Coordinator

This is a unique opportunity for a sales-minded professional prepared to provide exemplary service to our patients. We are seeking a concierge minded surgical coordinator who has experience in providing exceptional customer service. In this role, you will bridge our surgeons’ recommendations with our patients’ lifestyle goals to make sound recommendations regarding lens selection and surgical options. You will serve as the patient’s guide and advocate during the pre-operative, surgery and post-operative processes – keeping them informed and well-prepared while maintaining meticulous documentation. You will also liaise with doctors, technicians, and other billing and insurance professionals to ensure a smooth experience for all involved. Individuals who often excel in this role could include those with experience in hospitality, sales or retail industries.
Maintain a customized, concierge level of customer service for our surgical patients
Excel through our in-house training program, and become conversant in both clinical and surgical knowledge
Facilitate and bridge communication between the patient and the surgeon, clinical and financial teams
Build and maintain patient relationships through listening, building trust, and responding to patient needs
Eloquently present and discuss the advantages of patient premium options and explaining how they fit with the patient’s lifestyle goals
Identify patient concerns and address them to the patient’s satisfaction
Follow up with patients and colleagues in a timely and accurate fashion
Communicate and collaborate exceptionally at all times
Must be able to travel between Tarpon Springs and our other locations with our cataract surgeons
Marketing, sales or presentation experience desired
Must be comfortable learning new computer software systems and competent with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
Must be meticulous with details
Exceptional service skills in working with all types of customers (including all ages)
Must be high energy and have a positive attitude
Must be adaptable and flexible with work schedule
Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
Highly refined interpersonal skills (examples: compassion, empathy, advocacy)
Must be mobile in an office setting; sitting, standing, walking, bending and stretching
