The purpose of this job is to perform the sales and prize validation duties required to service customers in the day-to-day operations of the Georgia Lottery Corporation (GLC) kiosks located at GLC Headquarters and the Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson Airport. Duties include, but are not limited to: selling/validating tickets and processing claims in accordance with established GLC policies and procedures; maximizing sales and providing quality customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sells Instant and Online tickets and provides quality customer service.
Explains to customers how GLC games are played.
Processes Winner Claims and validates/pays prizes within the established thresholds.
Ensures appropriate prize claims are reviewed for legally mandated collection of debts owed to other participating state agencies (debt setoff), preparing appropriate forms and correspondence as may be required for approval.
Performs shift and daily reconciliations for Kiosk operations, verifying cash drawer(s), instant ticket inventory, and prize payments.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma/GED
Minimum of 6 months of customer service, strong face-to-face customer service skills a must.
Cash handling, and clerical or office experience (i.e. retail, banking).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift to include week-ends and holidays.
