Dynamic and growing Los Angeles-based law firm is looking for an ambitious mid-level litigation lawyer. This is a position reserved for someone at a stage in her or his career looking to connect with a modern practice, and searching for a place that encourages, and even requires, an ambition to grow. We want someone who is building a career.
Litigation cases are all business-related, so the successful candidate will be comfortable with a range of business topics. Must be capable of making in-person court appearances in Los Angeles area when needed (although so much of what is done now is remote), skilled with depositions, and willing to be the lead day-to-day lawyer on cases, generally managing the implementation of strategy over the course of litigation. Trial experience and interest is extremely helpful along with significant experience in law and motion.
Qualifications:
- A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA accredited law school.
- A license to practice law in California.
- Ability to write clearly and concisely.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This is an Of Counsel position, and compensation certainly includes extra for client origination. However, while welcomed, new client development is not required.
