Coca-Cola Beverages Florida (CCBF) is the third largest privately held and sixth largest independent Coca-Cola bottler in the US. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida, CCBF has the exclusive rights to bottle, sell and distribute The Coca-Cola Company owned and licensed brands in most of Florida. The full territory is on track to deliver $1.2B in net revenue and has approximately 4,500 employees. As one of the first US greenfield bottlers in nearly 60 years, CCBF is at an exciting stage in its start-up history. This unique opportunity is the chance to design, build and run a critical team within the Finance organization.
The Internal Controls (IC) Manager is responsible leading the IC function for CCBF. This position ensures compliance with Company operational and financial control requirements, as well as safeguarding of company assets, accuracy of revenue and expense reporting and other controls and process adherence. The IC manager is responsible for oversight of HQ and field controls environment through review of risk indicators and performance of risk based audits. The manager is also responsible for the execution of independent inventory verifications that validates balance sheet accuracy, as well as trains field personnel for all functions on processes and control execution in conjunction with the audit process. The position provides control guidance to functional areas in development/change of business processes to manage/reduce risk and participates in cross-functional fraud investigations and develops procedures designed to safeguard company assets
Principles Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, as well as detailed review of financial results with the CFO and Controller
Ensure compliance with GAAP, Chart of Authority and other Company policies and procedures
Act as liaison to external auditors (EY) and guide annual audit process
Provide technical guidance on accounting research to ensure CCBF is current with relevant pronouncements and ensure application of interpretation
Participate in direct monthly review of all key P&L and balance sheet items, including fixed assets with HQ finance team and CCR Business Services North America (BSNA)
Provide coaching and development of direct reports
Provide ad-hoc reporting and analytics as requested by the CEO and CFO
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / MBA a plus
Big 4 CPA firm experience, with preference given to candidates with CPA license and/or CIA certificate
8-10 years of Accounting and/or Finance in roles of progressive responsibility
Exceptional leadership skills and ability to make critical decisions
Strong understanding GAAP and technical accounting theory
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Solid understanding of internal controls
Experience in manufacturing, distribution or FMCG industry
