Sioux Nation Pet Clinic is a progressive, fun, family-oriented, veterinary clinic
located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. We are interested in hiring a full-time
Veterinary Technician.
We are looking for applicants with a strong work ethic, a positive personality, great
communication skills, able to multi-task efficiently/effectively in a very fast-paced
environment, with the ability to work well in a team setting. Someone that has a
passion for performing extraordinary care to patients as well as clients.
Scheduling will include weekdays and rotating weekends. Starting salary will
depend on skill and ability.
Job Requirements:
- Assist the veterinarian in exam rooms and documenting medical notes.
- Obtain medical histories and records.
- Perform basic venipunctures, along with catheter placements.
- Able to restrain/lift animals when needed.
- Small to large dogs and cats
- Ability to collect laboratory samples, process and interpret results
(fecal/parasite analysis, ear cytology, skin cytology, urinalysis, blood
smears).
- Perform diagnostic radiographs.
- Perform and assist with anesthesia.
- Prep patients for and assist in surgery.
- Perform dental prophylaxis procedures.
- Administer vaccines and medications (oral, topical, injectable).
- Fill prescriptions and review directions with clients.
- Communicate and educate clients when needed.
- Provide compassionate and sympathetic patient care.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:
- Veterinary experience: 1 year (Preferred)
Ability to Relocate:
- Sioux Falls, SD 57103: Relocate before starting work (Required)
