Job Summary and Mission
This position contributes to Starbucks success by delivering and supporting technology solutions in support of technology initiatives. As a systems analyst sr – Global Technology, you will identify, design, and deploy technology and process solutions establishing key business capabilities enabling the realization of strategic initiatives and operational improvements. This role requires proficiency in requirements analysis, solution design, and process improvement coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively across various IT and business functions. In addition to delivering new technology and enhancing/supporting existing systems, an effective systems analyst sr. contributes relevant technical, functional, and process expertise, negotiates and drives alignment, and coaches/mentors less-experienced analysts.

Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Improves project execution efforts by assisting in the evaluation of project processes and the identification/selection of targeted solution(s). Assists project management in the development of work plans, effort estimates, and delivery timelines.
Gathers, analyzes, and documents solution requirements specifically those issues which are chronic and repeating at various store technology installations.
Utilizes LEAN techniques to develop technology processes improvements designs and improve operations via process re-engineering efforts.
Creates solution designs utilizing user-centric design techniques.
Coordinates with business, construction, and vendors and leverages relevant process and technology proficiency to propose optimal solution(s) options delivering required business capabilities.
Proactively identifies and effectively assesses improvement opportunities for store technology installation with a focus on resolution of chronic, repeating issues.
Considers overall user technology experience in thoughtfully designing engaging solutions.
Process Analysis and Improvement
Performs regular reviews of issues with installation on store technology
Partners with Store Development and Construction to influence process changes, integration and reporting opportunities and improved execution of technology installations.
Analyzes and documents repeating chronic technical and/or operational issues related to store technology installation.
Partners with System Analyst Lead and Manager to create strategic solutions to chronic and repeating issues with store technology installation.
Provides 24*7 global support of critical systems.
Demonstrates system proficiency and leverages subject matter expertise to perform root cause analysis and assess issue trends.
Coordinates issue resolution with vendors and/or cross-functional teams. Provides timely and thorough communication regarding issue status/resolution with end-users and other key stakeholders.
Creates and maintains systems documentation (e.g. Wiki, Knowledge Base Articles) Develops and facilitates system training.
Partners with business and proposes solutions/improvements.
Works effectively in a self-directed manner with minimal direction from lead and/or manager.
Leads smaller streams of work. Interfaces across all organization levels comfortably.
Generates new ideas and influences decisions within and outside team.
Mentors team members and peers in developing required technical skills, functional knowledge, and business acumen.
Demonstrates knowledge of industry trends and innovative thought leadership.
Summary of Experience
7+ years of relevant experience
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrates working knowledge of all facets of systems development lifecycle and IT operations.
Strong knowledge of configuration and key integration points of relevant applications/modules/platforms.
Working understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Leverages user-centric design concepts in conjunction with agile prototyping, development, and testing to deploy highly engaging technology solutions to the end user.
Ability to couple technology expertise with deep understanding of business requirements to design and deploy highly reliable, scalable, and sustainable global technology solutions.
Collaboratively and objectively assesses benefits, costs, and viability of proposed solution options and drives alignment across a diverse group of stakeholders.
Applies knowledge of business principles and technology practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional activities.
