Creekside Behavioral Center is a 72-bed psychiatric treatment hospital specializing in adolescents, adults and aging adults opening October 2018. As a key member of the CBH Leadership Team, the Compliance & Risk Managment Director is responsible for ensuring a successful opening with specific emphasis on establishing an effective admissions process.

Typical Duties of the Director of Compliance and Risk Management May Include:

  • Provides facility strategic planning, leadership, and management of the Compliance & Risk department operations assuring best practices and compliance with federal, state, county, and local laws and regulations.
  • Ensures survey readiness by both state and national regulatory agencies.
  • Actively participates in various committee structures employing goal setting, facilitation of quality assurance/performance improvement and meeting JCAHO, CMS, third party payers, MCOs, and state and federal regulatory standards and requirements.
  • Actively participates in SBH organization development efforts, including Senior Leadership Meetings and other relevant staff development activities.
  • Ensures the facility meets regulatory compliance in both licensure and accrediting body standards (i.e.The Joint Commission, TN Metal Health, CMS)
  • Directs and monitors the quality assessment and performance improvement processes within the hospital
  • Maintain the risk management program.
  • Directs and controls health information services by formulating policies and procedures to ensure the safe and confidential custody and prompt availability of all patient records
  • Collects and analyzes medical staff quality assurance data and make recommendations for problem resolution.

Qualifications

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Healthcare Administration or closely related field. Professional certifications highly desired.

  • Clinical unencumbered state license if applicable (preferred)
  • Experience working with The Joint Commission, Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), State of Texas Hospital and Mental Health Licensing agencies
  • Experience working with Compliance and/or regulatory programs and Medical Record functions
  • Familiarity with operational, financial and quality assurance procedures and regulations within a psychiatric hospital setting.
