JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Supervisor Quality Inspector, the Inspector IV will perform product inspection and/or audits of quality control programs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Inspect parts, assemblies and finished products in accordance with contract specifications and/or legal requirements; follow company inspection guidelines to conduct critical non-routine visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical test and functional inspections on a wide variety of components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies, and materials
  • Perform 3D inspections using Faro Arm (Cam 2, Geomagic) and /or CMM
  • Perform complex and critical inspection procedures, requiring special set-up of new or unique equipment and interpretation of test data from a variety of sources
  • Sample and test incoming components and raw materials; track results
  • Ensure raw materials in-process and finished products meet company standard
  • Apply approval or rejection labels to bulk, raw materials once analytical data is evaluated
  • Produce inspection reports as appropriate/requested
  • Minimize down time by reducing production rework and recalls
  • Provide work leadership to lower-level associates; acts as liaison between Quality Assurance department and all other departments

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Associate’s Degree (A.A) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and six-years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One years’ experience in Aerospace Quality Management System AS9100
  • Possess a strong understanding of GD&T, in accordance with ASME Y 14.5
  • One years’ experience in GD&T, in accordance with ASME Y 14.5
  • One years’ experience performing First Article inspections in accordance with AS9102

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to use Faro Arm to perform 3D Quality Inspections and CMM
  • Ability to perform 3D inspections using Faro Arm (Cam 2, Geomagic) and/or CMM
