Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission-oriented Field Service Representative in the Wahiawa, HI area, with strong customer relationships to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding ManTech career.
Responsible for troubleshooting multiple diverse components in the system. Troubleshoots operating system issues like account lockout, permissions problems, file system issues, etc. Has deep understanding of Linux-based and Windows-based system administration and can communicate with technical and non-technical personnel to resolve problems quickly and efficiently. Responsible for the operational coordination with system users. Manages and configures system resources. Creates, monitors, and closes operational environments, according to operational parameters. Executes tool deployment and configuration. Consolidates user feedback on overall system design and proposed enhancements. Provides support for system training and mission rehearsals, as directed. Monitors system’s security and functional state.
The Field Service Representative will be an integral member of a two-person team, responsible for supporting the customer's network requirements and mission needs. Current support times are during normal business hours, but that could change based on Operational support requirements. There is an on-call requirement to support the customer's mission needs when required.
General Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining a system or specific components of a system
Touch maintenance of local hardware components
Establishes and manages user accounts
Implements operational and technical security controls
Adheres to organizational security policies and procedures
Collaborates with the customer to identify, evaluate, and recommend technical solutions to support operational requirements.
Troubleshoots complex system issues and provides support in keeping the system efficient and operational
Conduct pre-mission operational coordination with Users
Provide input to operational cyber plans
Support system training events and mission rehearsals
Utilize Nagios to conduct system monitoring
Manage and configure system resources
Support operational elements by creating, monitoring, and closing cyber environments
General troubleshooting of system elements
Clearance Requirement:
Mandatory Skills Requirements:
Bachelors Degree with 7+ years of experience.
Deep knowledge of and experience with Linux-based systems
Knowledge of and experience with troubleshooting VMware vCenter administrative issues
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Responds to management requests for information
Experience with Network/Infrastructure monitoring applications (Nagios)
Strong network troubleshooting skills (especially Layer 2 and Layer 3)
Knowledge of Cisco IOS configuration
Strong communications skills (verbal, oral, written)
Experience with Active Directory and user account management
Previous experience with Cyber Operations
Optional Skills Preferred:
Experience supporting military personnel
Experience working on a Help Desk Team
Counter-Intelligence Polygraph
DoD 8570 AIT Level II Compliant (SEC+)
Familiar with DoD Training standards
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%, capable of operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, and frequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers
