Position Summary:

The Platform Solutions Manager position is a full-time employment opportunity. Reporting to the Associate Vice President, New Programs and Curriculum Operations, this position will be responsible for managing platform solution integrations in the online classroom, as well as all third-party vendor relationships. This position will support curriculum development by consulting with and advising faculty and instructional designers on innovative learning solutions for the online classroom, and supporting the implementation of selected platforms.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Manage all non-Business Technology Solutions (BTS) platform integration's up until launch in production environment.
  • Collaborate with Instructional Designers and faculty to determine new and innovative solution(s) to deliver high-quality and innovative curriculum.
  • Manage third party vendor relationships from the technical/integration standpoint. Ensure all parties understand use case, requirements, centralized model, and technology opportunities and limitations.
  • Support leadership by managing contracts for third-party vendors.
  • Create and manage a contract schedule that includes expiration dates and relevant usage data.
  • Research current best practices and integration standards relative to technologies in higher education. Remain knowledgeable of new and developing standards and platforms in higher education.
  • Update existing LMS/LTI integration's where possible to ensure all platform integration's provide the best user experience possible.
  • Work closely with Business Intelligence (BI) to ensure all relevant data within third party platforms is consumable. Work on solutions to automate data feeds with third parties.
  • Support the development of custom LTI solutions within the LMS.
  • Lead and manage Learning Technology Specialist(s).

Additional Job Duties (include but are not limited to):

  • Support leadership with special projects related to the LMS and third-party vendors.
  • Collaborate with leadership within and outside the department to support the migration and maintenance of the LMS, as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum five years of experience leading system integration's.
  • Minimum five years of experience working in higher education.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Established relationships with third-party vendors providing products and services in higher education.
  • Strong technical background.
  • Experience leading and managing people.


  • Master's degree required.
