Job Summary: Contributes to the management of an equipment project by providing support from beginning to end with little to no supervision. Provides timely and effective support to a sales team. Coordinates with other team members to accurately and efficiently record project costs.

As an Equipment Project Specialist, you will be responsible for:

Maintaining the highest level of customer delight by promptly investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and construction teams.
Establishing a professional relationship with customers by communicating accurate status reports, project scope reviews, and project schedule reviews.
Planning and analyzing assigned projects to deliver exceptional customer service.
Creating project schedules including: generating tasks, estimates, dependencies; and milestones. Make appropriate adjustments as job progresses.
Executing project in established project timeframe. Compare estimated ship dates with construction project schedule, and Control expenses by monitoring assigned project budget.
Oversee the following: preparation of Trane material and vendor orders; recording the receipt of materials and approving payments.
Maintain project financials accuracy with the forecasted cost at completion
Enthusiastically communicate with project construction teams (Owner, GC, CM, MC, etc) to discuss scope of project, schedules, performance, and project close-out.
Project cash-flow management including: CVA Calculator, PeopleSoft Projects set-up, monthly progress billing, collections support and monitoring, monthly WIP management, final finisher management, variation close-outs, monthly Z1 account management.

Associate’s Degree in business or equivalent with a minimum of one (1) year of project management, equipment, HVAC, or related experience, or a minimum three (3) years of project management, equipment, HVAC or related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong communication skills are required to effectively collaborate with Account Managers, Customers, Service Coordinators, Trane Aftermarket, Trane Claims, etc.
Knowledge of HVAC systems and temperature equipment preferred.
Working knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft Office products.
