The Traffic Coordinator, will support EMD Performance Materials by handling all transportation and logistics aspects of our international orders from our US Distribution Centers to Direct Customers and CMG’s. To accomplish this role there will be constant communication via email and phone between internal departments, Warehousing, Logistics, Customer Service & Trade Compliance as well as external Carriers and Ocean & Air Freight Forwards with a focus on workload priority. The Traffic Coordinator will also have day to day internal coordination and communication with Supply Chain, Trade Compliance and Warehousing regarding the status of Import Shipments and also be responsible for freight Payment Audit and processing with 3rd Party Vendor.
Who You Are
Working experience with Air & Ocean Exports and Imports
Experience working with Freight Forwarders
Booking and submitting BL instructions electronically and/or email with ocean carriers
Documentation experience with paperwork needed for exporting material out of the US
Strong understanding of INCO terms.
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing across all levels of the organization and with external vendors and suppliers
Familiarity with systems used to support Import and Export functions ( SAP,ACE,AES)
Must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Highly motivated, flexible, organizgenerallyy ed with a focus on successfully accomplishing the requirements of the job
