Description of Position:
The Community Aide - Office Assistant performs a wide range of event-related duties to include: providing exceptional customer service to all inquiring about a permit, special event or special request, assisting with office inventory, credit card statements, communication management and more. This a temporary position; the incumbent for this position shall not exceed two years of temporary employment in this position. The Community Aide – Office Assistant will work a conventional work week, Monday – Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Assist with the permit process from checking availability, to assisting with the application to reserving in RecPro reservation software.
Assist with maintaining office and event inventory and supplies.
Provide exceptional customer service.
Assist with responding to e-mail, scheduling meetings and checking voicemail.
Complete and submit balance register reports weekly.
Update and communicate with park managers for requests, issues, and inquiries.
Prepare weekly reports for Directors Office, community, recreation and park managers.
Assist with events such as receiving quotes, assisting with budgeting and logistics as needed.
Communicate park use rules, event-specific logistics per park, and permitted agency use.
Other duties as assigned.
Graduation from an accredited high school or a GED certificate.
Two years of office and administrative support experience using office automated experience.
Ability to detail is a must.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize is essential.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to deal courteously with employees at all levels of government and to work effectively with vary temperaments, both in person and by telephone.
Ability to provide guidance to others.
