Patient Care Technician - Assistant - Patient Care Tech - PCT - PCA
Progressive Care Unit - PCU
Work Schedule: Full Time Nights 7P-7A, with rotating weekends

Working under the supervision of a RN, the Patient Care Technician/PCT serves as a member of the healthcare team by providing assistance with activities of daily living for adult and geriatric patients. These include, but are not limited to, personal care, ambulation and general care patient. Documents baseline measurements. Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient. Treats all patients and families with dignity, respect, and appreciation of their lifestyle, language, religion and culture. Supports and promotes an environment that is conducive to quality customer service.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School graduate or GED
Current Certification as a Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant
One year experience in acute care setting strongly preferred

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Current Certified Nurse Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant or Second year nursing student
Current BCLS issued by the American Heart Association
