Responsibilities
The Psychology Department at Northeastern University (www.northeastern.edu/cos/psychology) invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Associate Teaching Professor to start in fall 2019. The main responsibility will be teaching undergraduate courses. In any given year, responsibilities may also include providing service support for the undergraduate program in such areas as advising, student orientations, and curriculum development. The number and topic areas of the courses to be taught in a given year, and the specific service activities to be carried out, will be determined annually by the Department Chair, taking into account departmental need. Candidates should have experience in, or be able to demonstrate a commitment to, working with diverse student populations and/or in a culturally diverse work and educational environment.

Qualifications
Candidates should have a doctorate in psychology or a related field and a strong record of university-level teaching experience. This should include a history of teaching courses on a range of topics within the general area of behavioral neuroscience, as well as courses in introductory psychology. Candidates should also have experience teaching different types of courses, including lecture courses, seminars, and laboratory courses. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work productively with students, faculty, and staff are essential.
