Outside Sales
Healy Mattos is one of the largest manufacturer representatives in Northern California, with over 50 years of experience in the electrical community. We are seeking a full-time, Outside Sales position covering the Sacramento / Central California.
As a Sales Rep, you will develop new prospects and maintain contacts with established customers for the purpose of selling Company products, specializing in electrical wire and cable and regularly interact with and customers in person at the customer's site of business or other off-site locations. This territory consists of Electrical Contractors, End Users and Electrical Distribution in the Sacramento and Central Valley.
In this role you will:
- Responsible for promoting and selling electrical wire and cable in assigned territory in compliance with the Company's pricing policies and procedures.
- Primary customers will be Electrical Contractors, End Users and Electrical Distribution.
- Handle customer complaints promptly, effectively, and report potential claims.
- Keep management informed of local competition and market conditions
- Carry out sales and merchandise programs as directed, and recommend new items for stock
- Maintain current customer records, files, and reports of business transactions.
- Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as requested.
- Demonstrate products after sale when necessary
What you bring to the table:
- 5 years of experience in electrical industry preferred
- 2 years degree preferred
- Knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing
- Negotiation skills
- Ability to learn our business and to work independently to achieve goals
- Ability to sell and be persuasive
- Some travel required, including some overnight travel
