Pacia Life is seeking talented, well-rounded professionals to work as Clinically Informed Life Coaches with our growing student-base of young adults in Portland, Oregon.
Our Life Coaches guide students through a process of discovery, awareness, and self-acceptance in order to facilitate authentic and lasting growth. By helping students set realistic goals based on their unique, personal interests, Coaches activate a desire for change and betterment.
As a Life Coach at Pacia, you can expect a diverse, engaging, and autonomous work environment. Because our Coaches are largely expected to lead by example, we provide a culture in which our employees are actively involved in their own process of self-discovery and improvement. We are looking for individuals who possess a dynamic skill set - adaptable, innovative, patient, motivated, and solution-oriented. As we encourage our students to prioritize full-body wellness, a passion for fitness, nutrition, the outdoors, meditation, yoga, and similar activities is ideal.
-Model healthy and appropriate interactions, conflict resolution, and life skills
-Meet with students throughout the week in order to:
-Develop realistic goals
-Discuss and help implement strategies and resources to promote student-specific success
-Schedule out student’s week intentionally to maximize progress
-Outline all expectations and measures of accountability
-Follow-up throughout week, as needed
-Collaborate with team of life coaches, case managers, therapists, and residential mentors to discuss and receive feedback on action plans
-Be available for parent calls, as needed
-Problem-solve and resolve crisis, as needed
-Transport students, as needed
-Capacity to teach, guide, and motivate
-Solution-focused and goal oriented
-Strongly collaborative, able to give and receive feedback
-Experience with motivational interviewing and life skills coaching techniques
-Able to craft student-specific, measurable goals
-Actively invested in personal growth and wellness
-Superior communication skills via email, texts, phone calls, and in-person meetings
-Creative problem solver
-Highly patient and empathetic
-Efficient and organized while multi-tasking
Qualifications and Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of relevant experience preferred
-Ability to be flexible with time based on agency and students’ needs, including some nights and weekend hours
-Clean criminal background check
-Possess a smartphone and laptop computer
Pacia Life is a real-life, community-based academic and experiential learning experience with Clinically Informed Life Coaches, College Education Specialists, Entrepreneur Coaches, international GAP experiences, Wellness Specialist, Business Coaches, and a strong community network of clinical staff as needed.

Salary: $13.00 to $16.00 /hour
