The Test Automation Engineer is responsible for acting as the technical expert on automated testing for the development teams in support of Robotic Process Automation platforms. This role ensures a high level of quality for all software applications. This role conducts requirements analysis, defines test strategies, designs, and leads execution of test cases and automated testing to guarantee superior outcomes. The Test Automation Engineer ensures our validated systems are protected by verifying documentation for releases and collaborating with our software development teams to deliver high quality software on a regular cadence.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees and ensures the quality of all software applications developed at MTF Biologics. Facilitates the testing process for the appropriate development team.

Design and develop UiPath solutions to create reusable components, frameworks and libraries.

Work in collaboration with project planning and development teams to develop, test, peer review, integrate, implement, and support solutions using RPA platforms. Deploy RPA components including bots, robots, development tools, code repositories, and logging tools.

Supports development teams with technical expertise and assistance in both integrating and debugging systems used by and associated with Low/NoCode tools that are automating manual testing.

Analyzes requirements to determine the overall risk of the project. Develops manual test cases for execution and builds testing strategies in compliance with maintaining an FDA validated state. Coordinates peer reviews of test cases to ensure requirements are met.

Supporting Low/No Code development teams, as needed, with technical expertise and assistance in both integrating with and debugging systems.

Establishes the testing process and confirms issues are tracked, reported and resolved in a timely manner. Maintains and manages a critical database to track and trend testing and defects.

Analyzes and leads discussions around architectural structure, guaranteeing all options are considered optimal for deployment. Collaborates with DevOps team on integration of test suites into deployment process.

Familiarity with Microsoft Technology (C#, VB .NET, Windows, Internet Explorer, SQL Server, Web Services, Active Directory), Java, Python, etc.

Designs, authors, and assesses well documented, supportable and scalable infrastructures and present them to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Analyzes and reports testing results and issues to the development team and management regularly.

Oversee production releases to increase quality. Coordinate and assign tasks to staff to ensure releases meet deadlines.

Adhere to and participate in our agile software development methodology and practices. Support team commitments and ensure quality deliverables per definition of done within defined Sprints; perform peer reviews, participate in planning sessions, daily stand ups and other agile practices as directed.

Generate or assist in the automation of relevant test procedures. Assures the quality of the automation.

Configure necessary hardware and operating environments as needed to complete assigned testing and support needs.

Maintains and advances technical skills through professional education and training thereby increasing the effectiveness of the IT department.

Maintain up to date knowledge of all aspects of the assigned application and the organ and tissue donation field.

Assists on special projects and performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree

2 years experience with RPA tools and cognitive platforms such as UiPath. UiPath experience is highly preferred.

3 - 5 years: Creating, writing, analyzing, and executing manual test cases from requirements and peer review of test cases.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Able to design technical specification documents for RPA Projects.

Ability to write SQL queries.

Can write clearly & concisely to document as directed.

Proficiency in use of computer equipment required with advanced experience in Windows environments. Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.

Can write clearly to describe issues, duplication and resolution steps and document as directed.

Able to identify dependencies and understand the overall impact of a change.

Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall software life cycle processes.
