The Optimization Manager's role is to establish and develop an unparalleled cadence with key sports betting partners and products for CBS Sports Digital. The role will coordinate key portions of our sports wagering product offerings, specifically our marketing technology and free to play gaming partnerships that drive conversion and revenue. This person will manage day-to-day decisions and dependencies to secure steady growth in our sports gambling partnerships, drive conversion and build CBSi capability to offer increasingly engaging and relevant sports wagering content.
Help to execute on CBSi’s sports wagering partnership strategy and monitor key relationships to ensure strategic priorities are being met on both sides of every agreement, especially in driving conversion.
Strengthen CBSi in-house expertise in sports wagering, gleaning insights from optimizing content in tandem with sports wagering partners.
Develop strong relationships with our marketing partners’ leadership and key personalities to facilitate successful conversion and revenues.
Identify trends in sports betting and capitalize on knowledge with engaging creative, game enhancements and enticing content.
Create executive-level status reports on sports wagering conversions, including regularly presenting on progress to senior leadership.
Develop a deep knowledge of the evolving sports wagering landscape as well as CBSi’s sports wagering products and services, refreshing that knowledge on a regular basis.
Execute in an intense, fast-paced, and highly iterative environment.
Grow technology relationships to enhance CBS’ footprint and expertise in the sports wagering space.
Conduct regular competitor analysis, ensuring marketing assets, offers and promotions are timely, competitive and drive conversion.
Develop project plans, budgets, track milestones, identify risks to plan, and communicate to the appropriate team members about sports betting partnerships.
Maintain daily product reports that can drive testing and optimization opportunities across the product portfolio.
Work with internal/external partners to identify and set daily/weekly messaging across games, sites and apps that align with business goals and current sports topics.
Update, schedule and monitor marketing messages in order to ensure all are relevant and aligned with current betting and free to play game opportunities.
Monitor all ads and contests, report bugs and work with internal and external development teams to ensure prompt resolution.
What you bring to the team:
You have -
A deep understanding of conversion drivers - what works, what drives revenue etc.
A track record of analytical rigor in identifying and understanding successful conversion mechanics and building on them, ideally in tandem with key partners.
Minimum of 2+ years of product or marketing experience in a challenging, dynamic environment.
Knowledge and experience with digital advertising technology and affiliate marketing relationships.
Knowledge of the sports media and sports wagering ecosystem, including previous job experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google G Suite.
Ability to prioritize, organize, and meet all deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
