Performs highly responsible accounting functions according to established procedures, requiring knowledge of complex accounting systems; responsible for assembly and analysis of data; works under general supervision with latitude for technical judgment. May supervise subordinate employees.
Produces various reports for the Managing Director of Finance and Administration.
Coordinates with various Texas Tech University Health Science Center (TTUHSC) departments including Utilization Management, Contracts, and Accounts Payable to ensure prompt and accurate payment of vendor invoices.
Deal with vendor problems and payment issues as needed.
Is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the database information and be able to provide reports from the database when requested.
Responsible for coding and entry of all Managed Care (MC) procurement card purchases into Accounting system monthly.
Responsible for preparation for Bi-Annual bids for Unit clinic supplies.
Process Temporary Staffing Agency invoices for payment and prepares monthly cost report as needed.
Enters MC correcting journal vouchers into Banner Gateway system.
Adheres to institutional and departmental safety policies and procedures.

Minimum Hire Rate
Knowledge of modern accounting and budgetary practices. Use and knowledge of personal computer and
accounting software programs. Use and knowledge of a computer-based physician and hospitals programs.
Basic reading and writing skills.
Ability to listen, research, and come to conclusion based on results of research.
Microsoft office, telephone, calculator, keyboarding, and ability to work with a variety of people.

Bachelor's degree in a finance field required plus four years experience, preferably in a college or university environment.
