ETF Managers Group (ETFMG) is a full-service Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) issuer, with over $3billion in assets. We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual for a sales support position located in San Diego, CA. The role will require you to work with both the sales and marketing teams in planning and executing wholesaling trips, events, and tradeshows to help raise assets and educate others about our funds and the areas of the market they offer exposure to. This will include scouting event opportunities, budgeting for various types of events, following up with interested investors, data entry, and working closely with our San Diego sales team. This position is entry level with the opportunity for advancement. A qualified candidate is organized, capable of project management, and will be able to track and report on all efforts made. Those who demonstrate the willingness to learn and develop the sales skills required for advancement, you will have the opportunity to obtain your series 7 and 63 and will be given further responsibilities and duties. Position Duties & Responsibilities

  • Planning and budgeting events
  • Schedule quality appointments in accordance with external wholesalers
  • Work closely with external wholesalers to develop and execute an appropriate business plan to maximize territorial sales through events
  • Proactively identify event opportunities and unique activations
  • Participate in sales calls, trainings, and weekly/monthly reports
  • Work closely with sales mentor to develop your phone and sales skills, understanding of products/services, and be willing to take direction

Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Possess a strong desire to win
  • Proven ability to pay attention to detail and multi-task
  • BA/BS degree from accredited university
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills – walk into a room full of people you don’t know and leaving knowing everyone
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with time management skills and an entrepreneurial attitude
  • 2+ years of sales experience – cold calling, client relationship building, answering customer service questions when they arise
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to innovate – displays original/creative thinking skills, meets challenges with resourcefulness
  • You are a morning person – this is important as the market opens at 6:30am on the west coast, working hours loosely follow market hours

*Not required but a plus

  • Prior experience in the investment services industry
  • Series 6,7,63, 66 with a verifiable U-4 compliance record
  • Previous experience with Databases and/or Salesforce
  • Experience in budgeting and executing sales trips and/or sales events
