JBT Corporation has an Industrial IoT offering that has been built in multiple product lines around the world, the JBT iOPS™ System. Key services enabled through connected devices include real-time monitoring, smart notification, increased productivity, reduced environmental impact, predictive maintenance, machine learning, system optimization, and other value-added services.
The company intends to enhance and expand this offering. The IoT Protein Commercial Project Manager will be responsible to accelerate the commercial launch and sales of iOPS Systems within the JBT Protein group. The person will work in the Customer Care function, working with commercial leaders to review existing and planned customer value delivery and use cases and set targets for commercialization within an aggressive timeline. The IoT Protein Commercial Project Manager will assume the overall program management of initiatives in flight, enhance current product specification & offering based on customer back information, and drive results through detailed, hands on management and disciplined tracking. In addition, this position will be a key member of the iOPS Core Team, which includes the CIO, the Commercial Manager under the Liquid Foods division, iOPS technical leadership, and several senior Engineering executives. This position ensures the voice of the customer is included in strategic direction.
Partner with Business Unit Commercial Leadership and the central iOPS team to:
Facilitate strategic customer meetings to understand the customer needs, define & prioritize customer value, and support the launch/sales process.
Create a prioritized plan, with support from Product Management, Engineering, and the iOPS Program Office.
Develop and provide language and materials for marketing leadership on how to introduce and value sell IOT technology to their customers.
Develop appropriate processes and effective language for customer contracts.
Effectively discuss and demonstrate value at selected trade shows and industry events.
Establish, Measure, and Report Metrics:
Review existing and planned customer value delivery and use cases to establish iOPS commercial targets in a process supported by ELT members.
Establish baselines for PRoCARE with Customer Care management , prioritizing product lines having a large installed base, high warranty, and/or already achieving iOPS commercialization, moving best practices from pioneer product lines to adjacent product lines, leveraging existing JBT tools and methods, driving collaboration on go-to-market plans, contracts and pricing
Schedule and drive regular follow-up on commercial progress and equipment configuration roadblocks (i.e. monthly review of progress against commercial and business unit product roadmap, jointly meeting with Customer Care and Product management.)
Schedule and drive regular follow-up with the iOPS Program office regarding iOPS system reliability, technical and analytical functionality and user interface (i.e. monthly technical review of progress against iOPS infrastructure and technology roadmap.) The iOPS Program Office will provide & manage flexible specialists that create dashboards, interfaces and visual displays for all BU’s as required. The iOPS team is responsible from the Gateway or port out and harmonizing form the Gateway out.
Communicate iOPS progress throughout JBT Protein organization
Ensure JBT Alignment with the iOPS Program Office to:
Optimize the commercial approach of Protein North America with the rest of JBT.
Define improvements such as equipment or instrumentation to be implement and refined by the product line management and engineering functions.
Define improvements in the iOPS Platform itself such as customer-favorite uptime reporting format to be implement and refined by the iOPS Program Office.
Reuse best interfaces and methods from adjacent and similar equipment.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, or related field
5+ plus years leading programs, product management and/or projects in a commercial function
Customer Care, and/or Aftermarket experience desired.
Exposure to R&D processes, Program & Product Management, Agile Software Development, and/or Lean Methodology a plus.
Comfortable with technical tools, with high technical aptitude to understand IoT and demonstrate the solution.
Strong focus and momentum to get results weekly.
Self-starter who can organize amidst numerous stakeholders and opinions, with persistence to figure out appropriate approach and direction.
Collaborative and productive leader who builds relationships, establishes influence and solves problems.
Hands-on style – this position will have many individual deliverables.
Ability to work strategically and at the detailed tactical level with meticulous attention to detail.
Experience working across various time zones and geographies.

Physical Demands- Office environment working on a computer at a desk for extended periods of time.
Travel – Travel will be required, approximately 50%
