JOB BRIEF
MUST LOVE PLANTS AND HAVE EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE OF PLANTS.
Responsible for maintenance of the gardens, plants, and lawns at Historic Hotel. This position is part time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Knowledge of plants required.
· Soil cultivation, digging, forking, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, seed sowing, bed preparation, and planting.
· General maintenance of outdoor property, including litter pickup, trimming when required
· Power washing outdoor areas when required.
· Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
· Self motivated; able to work with minimal supervision
· Good communication with staff and guests
· Fit and capable of heavy work, including bending, kneeling, walking, lifting
· Able to work in all weather conditions
· Previous experience and knowledge of horticulture and plants
· Experience with lakeshore maintenance a plus
· Detail oriented and willing to share ideas
· High school diploma or equivalent
