The Principal Analytics Manager is responsible for developing strategy and insights in partnership with sales that support Cox Automotive’s Retail Consumer Solutions. This position requires hands-on leadership and creativity in extracting relevant insights from raw data and presenting compelling narratives to executive audiences in partnership with Senior Sales Directors that help solve complex business problems, drive business results and cultivate trusted partnerships with internal and external audiences.
Truly embraces the role of consultant and trusted advisor representing Cox Auto, and the full breadth of its data offering, and reach across T1-T3 and vehicle ownership.
Transform analysis into product/industry case studies and best practices to be shared with executive client audiences
Establishes innovative strategies to understand and solve highly complex business problems and translate where and how Cox Auto media solutions can help sole for these
Consult and influence as a Subject Matter Expert for the best outcomes to drive broad business successes
Influential and strategic thinker with strong business acumen bridging data to action
Works in partnership with sales to deliver relevant solutions to clients
Presents to external clients from working level conversations to executive stand up presentations. Must be confident in taking analysis and insights to OEM clients, present, field questions and handle follow-ups from the meeting
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected in developing clear and concise narratives blending various data sources that drive towards business outcomes
Cross-functional collaboration on proprietary and secondary data across Cox Automotive to develop strategic frameworks and POVs
Demonstrates the ability to utilize various statistical models in providing both descriptive and predictive insights
Highly skilled at working with raw data and transforming it into polished presentation-ready visuals
Leverage data mining tools and modeling techniques while staying abreast of industry-wide best practices.

Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Research, Engineering, Business or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of related analytics experience.
3+ years of related digital marketing analytics & media optimization experience
Automotive industry experience preferred.
Capable of presenting to large audiences at key industry events if called upon
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Advanced Excel skills required (or similar application equivalent)
Data querying - SQL experience highly desired
Data modeling - R or Python highly desired
Data visualization – Tableau/Microsoft Power BI highly desired
Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to synthesize complex analyses to executive audiences – internal and external
Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-driven atmosphere
Experience leading moderate to large cross-functional analytic projects
Knowledge of marketing strategies: digital trends, social media, and both direct and programmatic media buying.
Energetic and positive team player
Experience successfully collaborating on complex analytics projects involving a matrix of cross-functional teams
Self-motivated, with the ability to deliver consistently on time and in scope.
Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes in order to meet business requirements
