Cardno is seeking a full-time experienced Accounts Payable Specialist in our shared services center in Lone Tree, CO. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, be able to multi-task, and have strong communication skills.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
> Provide highest level of customer service to internal and external customers
> High volume invoice auditing/ processing through Vendor Invoice Routing (VIR) to ensure accuracy prior to posting.
> Enter and process vendor invoices to resolve invoice items that are in working folders due to discrepancies in general ledger coding, proper approval or potential duplicates.
>Set up and maintain vendor records in financial system to include obtaining required documents from vendor for 1099 processing.
> Prepare and process weekly accounts payable checks, wire transfers and ACH payments as well as ad hoc check requests
> Ensure all payment submissions comply with company policy
> Receive and disburse all incoming emails to team’s shared inbox
> Assist accounting team with monthly closing process and reports
> Communicate effectively with vendors and other employees to resolve payment processing issues
> Additional projects and functions as delegated by department management
> High school diploma or equivalent
> 3+ years A/P experience
> Strong customer service focus
> Excellent organizational and communication skills
> Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
> Prior experience in Accounts Payable role at a company with multiple locations and offices
> General understanding of accounting practices and principles
> Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines
> Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word applications
> An individual who takes pride in the accuracy of their work; is able to recognize problems and address them quickly; strives to be an active, committed team member and is willing to spend the extra effort to ensure the success of the department
