Department: PFS Transplant Financial Clear
Status: Part Time with Benefits
This is responsible for coordinating and clarifying the available financial resources for transplant patient care. Candidates in this will also work with patients and their families to coordinate financial resources required for care; and, work with other members of the transplant team, third party payers and administrators to ensure continuity of care.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience is required. Most experience must be within a hospital patient access or patient finance department. Prior roles should reflect some insurance verification and customer service experience.
Education: High school diploma is required.
Licensure Certification: N/A
Knowledge Skill Abilities: Some knowledge of transplant services. Must be knowledgeable in third party payer eligibility and benefit verification. Strong verbal, active listening and written communication skills required. Must be self-directed, thorough, and committed to a team approach. Should have strong resource management skills, including the ability to effectively manage ones time.
