We currently have an opportunity for an experienced technology professional to serve as our IT Director. This high visibility role will provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives that enhance the way we serve our clients, produce work product and collaborate across offices. This position may be based out of our Elmhurst, IL, Kenosha, WI or Champaign, IL offices.

Primary Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day oversight and direction to IT operations ensuring systems are running reliably and users are trained and supported in an efficient manner.
Supervise IT personnel and manage department organization.
Perform long-range planning of IT goals and strategies aligned with business initiatives to maintain competitiveness. Recognize new development in information systems technology and anticipate organizational modifications.
Develop and implement an annual IT budget according to plans.
Ensure confidentiality and reliability of corporate data, proprietary information and intellectual property.
Develop, implement and enforce IT policies and procedures related to security, operations and disaster recovery.
Leads the review and development of IT solutions and assists with project planning and implementation.
Ensure IT needs of the organization are being met for offices, departments, projects and users by meeting with managers and executives on a regular basis.
Manage and organize IT committee group and communicate action items and status back to board of directors.
Oversee negotiation and administration of vendors, outsourcers, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
Ensure the Help Desk / Service Desk is being utilized and managed properly for tracking problems, requests and changes to offer a high level of IT service.
Develop and implement strategies for keeping IT equipment and software at the appropriate level of technology.
Manage and enforce software licensing using audit system and inventory tracking.
Manage telecommunication systems, including data and voice systems.
Provide technical support to users and systems when required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience

B.S. degree in Information Technology or a related area.
Minimum of 10 years overall IT experience, with a minimum of 3 years of IT management experience with systems of equivalent complexity.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Experience in establishing, monitoring and managing corporate IT budgets.
Experience in designing and implementing IT solutions, including telecommunication systems.
High level of expertise with Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Office, SQL and Microsoft Exchange.
Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation CAD software is desirable.
Experience with Deltek Vision is desirable.
Working knowledge of switches, routers, and firewalls.
Experience with data and network security and disaster recovery.
Experience with anti-virus, anti-spam and anti-spyware systems.
Ability to work extended hours and travel to offices as needed.
