Job Description
Steyer Content is seeking an experienced technical writer for a contract role with one of our digital media clients in Seattle, WA. As a technical writer, you will focus on documenting modern web app infrastructure to support the client’s multi-platform streaming media experience. You will be developing and maintaining the service and infrastructure runbooks, the authoring of data and analytics process and schema documentation, and you’ll ensure the most critical information is easily found, processed, and understood.

If you’re the right person for this role, you have a strong understanding of content development and information architecture for a developer audience. Writing and organizing engineering-heavy documentation in a variety of formats is your home turf. You are a talented storyteller that knows how to bring clarity and understanding to complex technical concepts and processes. You are intuitive and agile when it comes to problem solving and changes in work focus. You’re naturally intellectually curious, extremely resourceful, and have a commitment to constant improvement. Collaboration and teamwork are your key to working within established timelines and producing the best documentation, bar none.

Required:
3 years of experience writing technical publications in a software development environment, or equivalent
Familiarity with documenting modern app development practices - CI/CD, DevOps, microservices, multi-platform deployment and support
Candidates will be required to submit writing samples
